Challenge
Logistics in Nigeria, especially for eCommerce and personal deliveries, often lack streamlined solutions for booking, tracking, and managing shipments. GIGL needed an intuitive app to make logistics accessible, reliable, and easy for all users, from individuals to businesses.

Approach
Research and Discovery
We conducted interviews with various users (business owners, frequent online shoppers, etc.) to understand common pain points like delivery delays, tracking issues, and interface confusion. We also studied other logistics apps to identify gaps and strengths, focusing on UX, simplicity, and reliability. This were our key findings:
Users need real-time tracking and simple booking.
A streamlined process for calculating shipping rates and choosing delivery options.
A clear support feature for managing issues or changes to deliveries.
Ideation & Strategy
We Mapped out flows for each major feature – booking, tracking, calculating shipping rates, and user support. Also we created a prototype to visualize the flow and low-fidelity designs to refine the user experience.
Key Features Implemented
One-Tap Shipping Options: A quick, intuitive option to choose between pickup and door-to-door delivery.
Real-Time Tracking: A live-tracking map for users to see their parcels’ locations.
Shipping Calculator: An interactive calculator to estimate delivery costs instantly.
Support Center: In-app help for customers to resolve issues easily.
Testing and Optimization
We conducted usability tests with a mix of new and seasoned users, using feedback to refine areas of friction. Feedback indicated a need for:
Simplified Tracking Interface: Modified the tracking screen for easier navigation.
Streamlined Booking Process: Shortened steps from four screens to two, reducing drop-off during booking.
Enhanced Accessibility: Made adjustments for visually impaired users by increasing font size and button contrast.
